Student of the Month – Stacey Tulloch May 2015
This month we meet Wedding Planning Styling and Design student, Stacey Tulloch.
1. Stacey you are studying our Diploma in Wedding Planning Styling & Design. What was your reason for choosing this course and how do you feel the course is preparing you for taking the next step in your career?
After 15 years in the hairdressing industry I was introduced to the wedding world and instantly inspired and excited, so much so, I decided to pursue my new found passion further and completely change my career direction. After completing a couple of mini online courses prior to this Diploma, I was left craving more, more knowledge, more insight, more stimulation, which lead me to the Academy. As soon as I saw the course outline, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for to feed my cravings and give me the material and confidence I needed to pursue a career in Wedding Planning, Styling and Design.
2. What is it about weddings that drives you to wanting to make this your career?
I love pleasing people. I’m fueled with passion and determination to push creativity and deliver innovative designs and concepts that will not only fulfill client expectations, but exceed them. With couples becoming more creative and expressing their individuality through design, Its exciting knowing that each wedding is different, and I thrive from that.
3. What would you say to anyone else who feels passionate about working in the industry and is considering taking a course?
I can’t recommend this course enough to anyone thinking about a career in Wedding Planning, Styling and Design. I have only scratched the surface of this course and already am feeling excited and eager to progress further. I’m finding this course really rewarding and a great platform to take the next steps in my career.
I’m lucky enough to already be working in wedding planning industry, but its so important to me to never stop learning. This course is furthering my knowledge, adapting thought process and feeding my soul. I can’t wait for what is still to come.
4. What have you enjoyed most about the course so far?
I love that the course is pushing me creatively and lets my imagination wander freely and explore wild ideas and concepts that I may not be able to do in the real world with client restrictions. I also enjoy creating mood boards and receiving invaluable advice from the experts.
